The project for this building with 8 floors above ground and one underground is a new example of tertiary architecture for the city of
Milan.
The offices of the Municipality of Milan are located here, on a former industrial area in the Corvetto district, with approximately 25,000 square meters of offices. A class A building, with flexible spaces, large terraces and a green roof.
The square plan measuring 70 x 70 meters develops around a large courtyard, recalling the traditional Milanese building typology of courtyard houses. A further reference to traditional Milanese architecture are the galleries revisited in a modern and high-tech key, which characterize the internal courtyard.
To offer a better quality of space, each floor hosts large terraces, of different shapes and sizes, located in the corners of the building. They generate an interplay of full and empty spaces on the facade and constitute open, but covered, environments in which to work or socialize.
The roof, which also hosts a runners' track, sanctions the search for "other" spaces intended for municipal workers. From here the possibility of aiming at the Milanese landscape and the new skyline.
